Job Purpose

• Responsible for Programme Implementation, Coordination & Evaluation of the DP World Foundation.
• Contribute to the development of programmes and learning activities and seek out grants to fund these programmes. Oversee projects, manage budgets, and participate in developing proposals to grantees.
• Primary tasks range from grants management to the review and analysis of funding requests while actively contributing to the overall growth and strategic development of the organisation.

 

Key Accountabilities

• The Programme Officer works in conjunction with other members of the programmes team to Administer the portfolio of grants for DP Foundation.
• Assist to Review and evaluate incoming proposals from groups worldwide, acquire Supplementary information/research as needed
• Write reports and analyses of programme activities
• Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for programmes.
• Identify and contact potential grantees for funding
• Plan and execute programme activities in timely and accurate manner.
• Conduct programme reviews and prepare reports for management.
• Prepare meeting agenda, organise meetings and distribute minutes.
• Assist with the development of strategic partnerships; 
• Assist with the strategic development of the organisation;
• Assist with ongoing marketing of organisation including but not limited to speaking engagements, monitoring and assisting with maintenance of the organisation’s website as well as coordinating and assisting in the production of the organisation’s monthly newsletter;

 

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Bachelor`s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
• English language proficiency required; proficiency in Arabic or another language preferred
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Ability to work well with a diverse group of constituents; 
• Awareness and understanding of issues of privilege, oppression, and marginalised communities
