Director of Professional Services
Grade UE09: £62,098 to £76,398 per annum
School of Economics / College of Arts, Humanities and Social Science
Full Time: 35 hours per week
Fixed-Term contract: for 18 months
Reporting to: College Registrar
The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term Director of Professional Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for the School of Economics.
Working in partnership with the Head of School you will be responsible for the overall organisation, planning, development and management of professional services to deliver the School’s strategic objectives in research and teaching. In conjunction with the Head of School and School Executive, you will build a collaborative working environment for all colleagues.
This post would suit a highly motivated and pro-active leader who enjoys working across a number of areas and has experience of leading and shaping teams through a period of change.

Your skills and attributes for success:
- Highly-developed leadership and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly numerate with the ability to interpret and analyse data.
- The ability to establish and maintain a network of personal working relationships with senior decision makers within and across universities.
- Experience of providing analysis and strategic advice to senior managers
