Salary: FC5 £25,829.49 - £28,251.00 (Pro-Rata)

Working Pattern: 36 hours per week (negotiable), 41 weeks per year

Job Details

  • We are looking for a highly skilled and committed Administrative Assistant to allocate, co-ordinate and monitor the work of Administrative Team, whilst also taking responsibility for the operation of the financial systems, including Devolved School Management (DSM).
  • As an Administrative Assistant you will work under the direction and supervision of the Administrative Co-ordinator and Business Manager.

As an Administrative Assistant, you will be required to:

  • Directly supervise a team to ensure an effective, efficient and co-ordinated administrative, secretarial and clerical support service for the Management Team.
  • Supervise and support a designated Team by allocating and scheduling work activities, setting targets and allocating resources to meet service delivery objectives.

The Person

  • Experience of working in an Educational setting. 
  • Proven administrative skills and experience of a school office environment.
  • Ability to provide a regular and effective service.

Willingness to achieve the required qualification 

(Please indicate if you intend to study to achieve the required HNC or equivalent within 2 years of appointment, if not already held)

Qualification, Registration and Skill Requirements 

You are required to have an HND or equivalent educational qualification to SCQF level 8 in a relevant discipline. 

You will be given the opportunity to work towards this within 2 years from start of employment.

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
