Job Family: 

Manages all aspects of diverse IT projects or multiple IT projects, typically involving multiple fields in the IT function. Uses expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met.

General Description: 

Defines projects and coordinates their implementation in line with organizational project management standards, policies, and principles. Responsible for meeting project objectives within quality, time, and budget targets, and for managing associated risks. Typically requires specialist project management experience, relevant qualifications in industry-standard project management techniques, as well as an understanding of the project technical and business issues.

 

Role:

  • Develops project proposals/plans, determining timeframe, budget, procedures, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Defines project governance, deliverable scope, responsibilities and financial aspects
  • Reports project progress to senior management and/or sponsor/client.
  • Negotiates changes in project scope/specification with sponsor/client.
  • Coordinates a team of specialists to implement project tasks.
  • Acts as the interface between the project sponsor/customer.
  • Analyzes requirements with the project sponsor/customer and Enterprise/Application Architects.
  • Presents projects convincingly to win agreement from sponsor/client.
  • Leads improvement initiatives and manages relationships with external suppliers at project level.
  • May negotiate and manage contracts with external suppliers with the support of specialized teams (e.g., Corporate Procurement).
  • Ensures delivery and quality control.

 

Technical Understanding:

The role requires a solid understanding of various environments and DevOps practices to effectively coordinate with team members. This includes knowledge of deployments, ensuring test environment availability and maintenance, familiarity with testing, handling access requests/issues for development squads, and supporting both Easyway PPE and PROD launches is essential.

 

Major Plusses:

  • Experience with infrastructure projects, including managing contracts with external suppliers and maintaining relationships at the project level.
  • Strong background in overseeing business, technical, organizational, management, and financial aspects of infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to lead projects requiring adaptability to changes and instability in project management processes, strategy, and frameworks.
