It is a really exciting time to be joining our Port Health team as we transform our services in response to the UK’s departure from the European Union.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the East Suffolk Council`s Port Health Team as a Shift Supervisor – Business Support.

Our mission is the protection of public and animal health, carrying out a range of checks to ensure imported goods are safe for all of us in the UK. Your role:

Providing daily operational supervision of Business Support teams, including work allocation and prioritisation whilst ensuring operational performance meets or exceeds key performance objectives and expectations.

You will work on the daily operational supervision of the Business Support Team to ensure organisational requirements are met in terms of quality management, customer service, health and safety, and legal/regulatory requirements.

What you will need:

You will be educated to A Level standard, have an equivalent Level 3 qualification or have experience working at a comparable leveI, have a proven track record in supervising and developing teams through excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be confident cooperating across all key stakeholders of the organisation and dealing with complaints in a professional manner from investigation to resolution.
